The way the ball joints are connected to the arms of the upper part of the platform may cause the rectangular profiles to be squeezed. And because the thread of the bolts doesn't go all the way to the head, you may not even be able to tighten the nuts as much as necessary.

The default bolts as seen from the top, with the plastic end cap removed. Note how the sides of the profile are bent inwards.
There may be some burr on the inside of the holes, which you should remove using a file. Note the piece of cloth I have covered the SFU gears with to protect them from debris.
Using a nut, a washer and a bolt and a piece of aluminium this way you can bring the profile back into its original form. Just hold the nut and tighten the bolt until it pushes the two sides apart wide enough for the long nuts to fit in. Do so for both holes.
The piece of aluminium I used was some leftover rest from manufacturing the studs, which came in handy as it wouldn't inadvertently fall into the profile.
Once widened to its original size, the profile can take up long M10x25mm nuts with a thread that goes all the way through, like these [1]. You also need to change the bolts to M10x80mm with threads that go all the way to the head.
The holes in the plastic end caps need to be widened to 20mm (or whatever the diameter of the long nuts is).
You may also have to shorten the edges of the caps to make them fit into the profile.
