The new SFU gears are a major improvement to the DOFReality H/P6 platforms. A side effect of these gears is that the seat can sink down when power is turned off. There is nothing wrong with that, it's a feature of the SFU gears. However, the moving arm of the gear can touch the plastic end cap of the base. and even damage it. To make sure the platform settles into a stable, damage free state when power is turned off, I added studs that act like sort of a "fixed landing gear". When power is turned off with these studs, the platform comes to rest in a solid, stable position without any physical stress on the gears or motors.

Here's an image that shows how the gear arm cuts into the plastic end cap of the base when power is turned off and the arm sinks all the way down.
I used a 30x30x3mm aluminium profile to manufacture stud holders according to the shown specs. Note on the 10mm hole: the 57mm distance from the pointed edge may be different on your platform. Hold the part against your gear arm and mark the actual position before drilling.
Depending on whether your SFU gear configuration is "A" [1] or "B" [2] you need 2 pieces as shown here and 4 that are mirrored ("A") or 4 pieces as shown here and 2 that are mirrored ("B").
The stud holders are mounted to the gear arm/triangle via the bolt that connects the ball joint to the triangle. You may need to replace the existing bolts with longer ones (M10x50mm in my case). See here for a description of the black spacers shown in this image.
Since the stud holder leans against the gear arm, it can't rotate around the bolt when the platform rests on the stud, so there is no danger that this might loosen the nut.
The adjustable feet I used can be found here [3].
